The Rivalry Continues With Core vs Chimera Tonight at 11 EST

For the second time in 2008, we will see a rematch of the 2007 World Final between the Carolina Core and the Chicago Chimera. In their first matchup of the year that took place last week, the Core came out hot and demoralized Chicago 30-13. The slate is clean tonight and both teams are in dire need of this victory. Carolina enters the match with a record of 3-3. Meanwhile, the Chimera sit outside the top four in fifth place with a 2-4 record. The top four teams make the CGS playoffs, so a win here would go a long way for either team. This will also be the first match of two in a row that these teams play against each other. They play tonight and then also open the TV portion of this season on Monday. The key match in week 1 was the Core’s blowout CS victory, so they will need the same performance from their fraggers tonight if they want to get the win. The race will also be in the spotlight as the Core’s racing team is the number one team this year, a spot that belonged to Chicago last year. Core versus Chimera is CGS’s top rivalry, so make sure you stay tuned tonight.
