Renji's Daily Predictions: Forza Training Camp Week 3
Written by David "Renji^" Strausser, Feature Writer of the Carolina Core
All of this week's matches have been very interesting to watch, and have had us all waiting for when the next one is going to start. With Counter-Strike, FIFA, and DOA:4 out of the way, we turn our attention now to Forza Motorsport 2. Although the game is the newest addition to the CGS, the names and faces we see going into tonight's matches are anything but amateurs.
All of tonight's matches should prove to be very exciting, and will set the standards for the regular season which is coming soon.
*** These predictions are assuming each franchise will play their starting line-up, which is likely not the case ***
Carolina Core vs Chicago Chimera
Forza Motorsport: 2
Regardless of their all-star performance last season, the protected Chicago Chimera racers haven't shown us that they are worthy of holding that title thus far during the Training Camp. While Core has also had a shaky start, they have managed to finish their races in respectable positions, and if it hadn't been for a small slip up last week, their racing record would be flawless.
Now that they realize what they did wrong, and know what needs to be done, the team of Phantom and General E. should have no problem leaving the competition in the dust. Literally.
Carolina Core 6 > 1 Chicago Chimera
Los Angeles Complexity vs San Francisco Optx
Forza Motorsport: 2
Just like Chicago Chimera, Jason Lake chose to keep both of his racers from last season. The only difference between the two, is that CompLexity will be going into this match-up with a Forza win under their belts, which puts them at an even 1-1 record with SF Optx.
Both teams certainly have their work cut out for them going into this match-up, but at this point, I don't believe LA CompLexity is ready to put the brakes on Optx's Training Camp win streak.
San Francisco Optx 4 > 3 LA Complexity
New York 3D vs Dallas Venom
Forza Motorsport: 2
3D's new Forza 2 seems to be an unstoppable force going into this match-up, with two wins already under their belts. Venom's Forza team has also proved their worth by defeating Chimera 6 - 1 during week one, but only to be shut down by Optx last week. With tonight's match-up, I can almost picture the word "upset" coming to mind, and Dallas Venom pulling this match out of somewhere that the sun doesn't shine.
Dallas Venom 5 > 2 New York 3D
optix over col
dallas over 3d
core over chicago
