Mystik Rebounds, Offbeat Falls Again in Week 2 Training Camp

One of the matchups that everyone has been waiting for is the one between Offbeat Ninja and Perfect Legend. Tonight we saw the first of what is likely to be storied rivalry. Offbeat Ninja played as his main Ein and Perfect Legend played one his mains, Hayate. In the first round, the players both exchanged grabs to start, but Perfect Legend was able to utilize some wall damage and counter holds to take the opener. In the next two rounds, PL let Offbeat make the first move in every sequence and this helped him use some excellent defense, with a well-timed offense to win both of them. With a 3-0 deficit, Offbeat looked to come out strong in Round 4 and did just that. He managed to get PL down to about 5% life, but somehow Carl managed to throw him into the air and combo him into the wall for extra damage. He ended up going on to win the round and take a 4-0 lead. The fifth round was just like the rest with both players exchanging damage early and working each other down. Perfect Legend managed to seal the victory when he rattled off a nine hit Combo that finished off Offbeat Ninja. No one could have predicted a final score of 5-0 in favor of Perfect Legend, but that was the reality of the match.

In the second match of the night, we saw Mystik playing as Hayate facing off against Belle playing as Kokoro. The first round started with Belle coming out strong. She aggressively got Mystik near death, but Mystik was able to mount a comeback which saw both players at about 10% health. Belle decided to get on the board early and was able to win the standoff to take a 1-0 lead. Mystik wasn’t about to fall behind any further and put herself on the offensive. Behind some really strong, high damage juggles, Mystik was able to get on a roll. After winning Mystik won the second round, Belle knocked Mystik into the water. This was a bad idea as both of the rounds that were played in the water went to Mystik. She kept Belle stunned almost the entire time they were down there. After a stage reset, we saw Mystik with a 3-1 lead, but the momentum was now in her favor. She changed to a more defensive style, but the result was the same and Mystik was able to win the final two rounds to give her a 5-1 victory in week 2 of the Training Camp over Belle.
