General E Wins CGL Forza 2 Tournament

General E Live's drive through the tournament started in the first round with the tough draw against BLKJ Evolution on Maple Valley Short. The race started with GEL making a terrible mistake in turn 2 causing him to fall back 50
meters. He kept his composure and ran 3 incredible laps to follow, thus pushing him to a slim 20 meter win. The next 3 rounds consisted of a no show and a couple blowout victories which sent GEL into the final four double elimination bracket. He was met by D2C Walahoshie, TeRrry 15 Z, and IRunThisB173h, each of his opponents had put up impressive victories, especially D2C Walahoshie. The first round saw GEL go up against the racer known as IRunThisB173h on Tsukuba. The race started close, but GEL's over-powering speed was just too much, he finished with a 250 meter victory and moved to the upper bracket finals.
Walahoshie, GEL's practice partner, moved passed TeRrry15 and set up an epic upper bracket final on Maple Valley Short. MVR is GEL's worse track and the pressure was on with such an outstanding racer in Walahoshie. The race started very close, the first lap went back and forth, GEL ended up with a 20 meter lead after lap one. The gap stayed about the same until lap 3 were Walahoshie hit a bad curb and lost control in turn 2, this gave GEL the break he needed and moved him to the finals without a loss. Walahoshie showing his speed and resilience won the lower bracket finals forcing a rematch with GEL on Tsukuba. GEL had the advantage of 15 extra minutes to warm up and it showed. The final race started with GEL on the pole and he pulled a little here and there through the entire race giving him an 80 meter victory. Overall he had a great run and represented the CORE well, congrats to GEL, and thanks to the CGL for putting on a fantastic tournament.
