GVN 2 Summer Bash Results

Posted by: MarkDolven

This weekend the Gaming Vision Network Summer Bash 2 took place in Media, Pennsylvania at the Virtual Rush LAN Center. The winner of both of the Dead or Alive 4 tournaments was Paul “Rabies” Santoro. He won the singles event, but then teamed up with Chosen1 to take home the tag title as well. The event also feature an old school Dead or Alive 3.1 tournament and the Core’s taxi player, Bill “Tom Brady” Menoutis, took the victory. There was also a Soul Calibur 4 tournament and two players from that community, KDZ and KPC, took first and second respectively.

Congrats everyone! Rabies has proven once again he is the tag champ, annnd he took a singles win. Very nice. Good stuff to Tom Brady for holding it down in 3.1 and placing in SC as well.

Thanks guys, I wish i placed better in SC4 but I had to play 3 real SC players in a row. Bill first round which he beat me the very last set last round and then I beat someone and then another SC player beat me same way last round. I had the hardest bracket. I could beat Low Sweep in SC and he placed 4th. But who cares DOA is my game and I did what I needed to.

Heres a link to the grand finals: (DOA)

You know what I just realized is so sad. SC4 which is a brand new game and supposed to be so good. It only had 2 more people than the 3 year old DOA 4.1 tournament. LOLLL, also over half the tournament was the DOA community.

Congrats to everyone who played. I was watching the stream, and it looked like everyone had a good time.

I'm curious how many people from cgs actually watched the live stream? How many GM's watched to find a future draft pick? What were your thoughts on the event, how it was ran, and playre performances? What could we improve on the next time we stream live?

What, me worry?

Maybe it's because SC4 also had five other tournaments this weekend.

Other than that, good stuff Rabies.

Yeah it was the ps3 version. The 360 version looks visually better but for some reason the SC community prefers PlayStation.

Maybe, although most SC players use sticks. I think its because 90% of the good arcade sticks are ps2 sticks.

The 360 D-pad is also being redesigned. Coming out sometime soon. Saw an article on IGN

#9, I was watching the stream, but I think I got in at parts where it wasn't quite interesting, except for the epic Tom Brady/Evil match in DoA 3.1.

yea, i was the one who did the livestream. I do have to apologize for the 2nd half of the livestream not being saved. I learned that you cannnot save a chunk of recorded film on that site that is over 4 hours long. I will remember that for next time.

Thats part of it. But mainly because the controller adapters for the PS2/3 are interchangable. Plus the 360 doesn't have any that are even decent or any adapters at all.
