Core.CSS To Play in CEVO-P Season 6, Begins Thursday

The Carolina Core CSS team has decided to participate in the sixth season of the CEVO-Professional league. They will be joined by only one other CGS team, the Dallas Venom, in the ten team elite league. The schedule of the second half of the season will conflict with the official CGS Regular season, so many chose teams to focus on only that. The Core has some alternate solutions in place and will use proactive scheduling in order to participate in the league. Last season, the Core qualified for the playoffs as the #2 seed, but lost two close matches to Team Pandemic and the Dallas Venom to finish just outside the money. CEVO has reduced the number of teams to ten in the division because of the lack of CGS teams. This means that each team will play each other twice during the regular season before the playoffs begin. The Core will open up their season this Thursday night when they take on Gaming Revolution on Inferno. This match will take place after the Core’s CGS Training Camp match against the LA Complexity.

"Although the scheduling will be a nightmare once we get to Los Angeles, we felt that it was imperative to participate in CEVO. It also gives us a great chance to use CEVO as even more training in the preseason leading up to the CGS. We are making a lot of sacrifices to play in CEVO-P, hopefully it pays off the in the end with a championship."
