Carolina Shuts Out Patent Pending in CGS Pro-Am

Tonight, the Carolina Core Counter-Strike team was back in action when they faced off against Patent Pending in CGS-Pro Am action. In this week one makeup match, the map was de_inferno with Carolina starting as the defensive Counter-Terrorists. This ultimately spelled doom for the Patent Pending squad as they continually got shut down round after round. The Core was led by Chad “DAFF” White who played absolutely lights out in the A Bombsite. PP couldn’t find an answer for him and subsequently couldn’t take an offensive round. With a first half score of 9-0, the Core was looking to end things quickly in the second half and they did just that. Cyrus “org” Habibi got the entry kill needed and Hoang “s0nNy” Tran immediately planted the bomb. Carolina was able to defend the plant and the Core won their only offensive round and the overall match 10-0.

With the win, Carolina improves to 2-0 in CGS Pro AM play after a strong win over Hyper! last week. They will be back in action Wednesday night at 9:00 PM EST when they take on raged gamers on de_nuke. Stay tuned for more coverage on this match and all of the other CGS Pro Am information!
